We quietly rolled up to our calling location, shut off the truck and got our gear. 200 yards later we slipped over the small ridge line and we each found a place to setup. My partner began calling and before he got done with his first series he had a coyote in his lap. Being prepared is another topic for another day, but this coyote got past him before he even got a shot. I couldn’t shoot as it was right between us, so I got up and followed it over the ridge.
