With a Swan, a wild duck and a Buzzard, the baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of consumer protection has today confirmed more bird flu cases.

In the case of a Swan in Ulm, it was found at the weekend, the bird flu virus H5N8. Also in the case of a slain floor in Muggensturm (district of Rastatt), was the duck, also a highly pathogenic (highly pathogenic) avian influenza virus type H5 detected. However, it was not a case of H5N8, but to a different subtype of the Virus. Also in the district of Emmendingen (Rheinhausen) has been tested to be a Buzzard positive for avian influenza.

Thus, 299 cases of avian influenza in wild birds are considered to be confirmed.
