    The automotive manufacturer Daimler would like to get involved in the electrical Segment. Already in mid-2019, with the first vehicles of the Mercedes-Benz model EQC are to be delivered.

    The new Crossover SUV is the first Mercedes-Benz, the electric product and technology brand, “EQ”. Its production starts in 2019 in the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen. Also, the drive batteries are from Germany and will be manufactured at the wholly-owned Daimler subsidiary “Accumotive” in Kamenz (Saxony).

    Some context data: The power consumption of the vehicle is according to the manufacturer, combined: 22,2 kWh/100 km (CO2-emissions combined: 0 g/km (provisional figures)). The rated power of the two drive strands at the front and rear axle is specified with 300 kW (408 HP). A battery charge should be enough for up to 450 kilometres. The Lithium-ion batteries is to reach a fast-charging station in about 40 minutes, from 10 to 80 percent state of charge. The acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and the top speed at 180 km/h (electronically limited).

    The starting price is expected to be about 70,000 euros.
