On the small Baltic island of Koos in the vicinity of Greifswald in the morning a hunter of one was injured on Sunday wild boar is difficult. He was flown in the rescue helicopter to the University hospital of Greifswald, died there.

The island in the Greifswald Bodden is part of a nature protection area. It is separated by a narrow channel from the mainland. Since 1970, however, there is a passable dam. Apparently, they had organized a reduction in hunting sows. Not least for conservation reasons, the sows must be kept short. The deceased hunter worked in nature conservation on the island and was also entrusted with the task of hunting wild pigs.
